Has anyone actually burned out their clutch yet, and or come to the end of it's life?

No (I haven't), I have about 24,000mi on the V and clutch grips like it did on day one. I know it's self adjusting but I think my wear and tear on it is very low. Even my original brake pads are still fine (probably because I use the transmission to slow down).
