Now CVP, why would they put such an overbuilt auto in the LS2/6 powered V? Come on - you know better than that :D
I knew that some would scoff. I have an inside source that tells me this new transmission has been reinforced with a space-age lateral binding agent that minimizes case flex and actually has sound deadening properties as well. I'm thinking of using this on my rear differential as well. It's only $190 for a 50 foot roll direct from GM.
Can we get a dealer to sponsor a group buy on the lateral binding material? Price seems fair enough - but I'm sure we could all use it.

I found some secret R&D info on this tranny as it relates to the V. Seems they recommend adding this to all fluids, including the Dexron VI (which is actually a torque reducer - thereby allowing upwards of 50% torque reduction extending the life of the tranny). Wide view of clutch to clutch engagement attached.
:thehand: Not too fast now.

Sources tell me an installation kit is required.

The sad thing is that it is only funny because it is so easy to believe!:highfive:

CR
Torque reducer!

*rolls on to back, grabs belly, feet in the air - LMFAO!
*Reads Chris' sig for first time...laughs...cries...opens fat tire and laughs again.

Trust me - the stuff limits torque so that transmissions, differentials and tires alike can survive abusive drivers who utilize the LS6 within design paramenters.
Shiat Chris, you post whore...you've almost caught me :banghead:

The not so secret mission revealed. :shhh:
You guys may laugh about this but I would bet the ranch that the V will add an automatic within the next couple of years or the V will go away. 4 door luxury sedans with just manual transmissions don't sell well enough for a company short on cash like GM.
