I bought a 2000 Deville DTS with a connecting rod poking out of the block, so I purchased a replacement motor at a wrecking yard which I am rebuilding due to unknown history and NS typical problems. Also bought the OEM svc manuals which clearly state-- "NEVER REUSE CONNECTING ROD BOLTS" Ok, but I can't find anyone that sells them after Extensive web searching. Do I go to the local dealer for OEM bolts, or use aftermarket ones like ARP? It seems like there are numerous rebuilds being successfully completed, so what are all you guys using, and where did you get them?

I'd purchase from ARP or a GM parts dealer, whichever is less expensive. ARP sells good stuff!
