ok got new tires today and when i went to get it aligned they said the back was maxed out in adjustment and they though that i need new springs. does this sound right? is the strut and spring one assembly?
The rear wheel adjustments include camber and toe-in. A weakened or broken rear spring might cause the rear suspension trim height to be out of specification, but I don't think it would cause either camber or toe-in to be out of range for adjustment. For one thing the rear shock, which is separate from the spring is self-leveling. Additionally, people install lowering springs on Vs all the time without running out of adjustment on camber/toe-in. Has this car been in a collision?
i believe it was before i got it yes supposidly in the front tho. ill c if i can get the numbers and post them. i cant remember if it was the camber or toe that was out. if i need new springs or struts thats fine i just dont want to replace them if i dont have to. as always darkman i really appreciate the advice.
