need some help 97 SLS

Not sure if this the right place to post this, so forgive me if its not. I was giving a Sony 10 disc CDX-434RF trunk mounter cd changer and was wondering if its possible to install this model into my 97 Seville SLS. I know I need a new power antenna since the car doesnt have one, but before I go out and purchase a new one I want to get an idea of what I will be getting myself into. Maybe some one can drop some advice on the best power antenna out there as well. Any info will really help out. Getting tired of listening to the same cassettes over and over again haha, thanks in advance.

It's the correct forum. One of our sound system experts will chime in.

BUT - know that the original head unit is part of the car's content theft, TheftLock and serial data bus systems. Mess with it correctly or you open a huge can of electrical and electronic worms - big worms.

I was hoping not to mess with the head unit and just mount the cd changer in the mean while until I know exactly what im dealing with.

The easiest and best thing to do is to get a gm cd changer and stuff in the trunk. I believe your model like the DeVille of same era is prewired for it. Plug and play... Voila cd changer with almost no work.
