After I posted that photo, I realized the antenna relay is missing from the drawing. Duh!

You're quite welcome for the diagrams. Don't forget to download and save them. I don't know how long they'll remain on that server.Krashed989 said:Thank you for those diagrams, I've been looking for them for a long time.
I know just about nothing about car audio... Why is it necessary to rewire the rear speakers?
Thank you very much for that. So after you install an aftermarket radio you can basically dispose of the radio box near the antenna or will you still need it for something?WarrenJ said:You're quite welcome for the diagrams. Cadillac uses a "head unit" in the dash that contains the cassette deck (and CD player if so equipped). Basically, the dash mounted unit is a wired remote control unit that operates the radio located in the trunk on the antenna mast. As a result, all the speaker wires are with the radio in the trunk as well. Installing an aftermarket radio in the dash requires that the speaker wires in the trunk be extended to reach the radio in the dashboard. Otherwise, entirely new wiring must be installed from the new radio to the existing speakers.

Yep. Nope.Krashed989 said:Thank you very much for that. So after you install an aftermarket radio you can basically dispose of the radio box near the antenna or will you still need it for something?
----------------------Would you hook up an FM Modulator to the radio box by the antenna. Which color wire would you use to power the device.
Thanks
