Recently I noticed when engine is hot and I Accelerate from a light or stop my valves tap for about 5 seconds. Currently I'm running 10w30 synthetic blend. My questions are do I need to switch to a heavier weight oil , and if so what weight should I go????

depends on your climate. i live in houston and i have to run 10w-40 (owners book says to use 10w-30) or else i get low oil pressure on the dash is it hot in your area?

Might want to verify oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.

A 98 model with aveg mileage in warm wether can run a good 20/50 ..

Curious that no automobile engine manufacturer currently in existence recommends running motorcycle weight multigrade oils.

Why doesn't the cutesy oil use graph in most owner's manuals also indicate 20W-50 along with 10W-30 or maybe 10W-40 (in Saudi Arabia)?

The motorcycle weight oils are never labeled as "energy-conserving" as those additives cause the wet clutches in motorcycles to slip. I assume that is why they aren't recommended for cars. My bikes use 10W-40.

i live in the bahamas, maybe my florida colleagues can answer shud i use 10w30 or 10w40? my seville is at 80k miles

Use what the owners manual calls for. It's also marked on the oil fill cap.
