Hey Folks!!!!

my situation, I bought a used 2006 cts and the only key I had got with it was a generic one. I really want the keyless entry box but how do I go about getting that and a new key? I have looked on places like Ebay and such and found some for what seems s reasonable prices. What is a ball park for this? and what exactly needs to be done in order to have a working key? as of right now I don't even have a spare which sucks.. THANKS!!!!

Personally, I would go to a GM dealer (doesn't have to be a Cadillac, just a Chevy/GMC/Buick would be fine.) At the very least to get an actual GM key from them. They'll cut it for you to from the VIN. The reason why I say this, because most copy keys aren't cut perfectly. Thus if you copy that current copy, things about to be messed up.

As for the remote, well that can only be programmed by the dealer. Or anyone who has a Tech II programmer. Though you can pick up the remote(s) from on line.
