OK, I wish I had pictures, but I don't. I did the install you are trying to do and it works great. The key move here is getting the cover off. You will have to get a voltmeter. Can't do it without it. $10 at Radio Shack if you don't have one. You also need a spatula. Rubber end with a wood handle so you don't scratch anything. Pull down on one side of the black plastic cover that is over the rear view mirror assembly. Pull very hard and maybe it will move 1/8 of an inch. Slip the spatula into the opening. Now just pull down on the spatula and the cover will pop off enough to get your fingers in there and pull the rest of the cover off. Remove all the covers, but remember how you did it. Now, as I remember, there is a junction box in the front with about 8 wires coming into it. I used 2 sewing needles and stuck 1 into a black wire connection (ground) and then I went around the junction box with the other needle. I would take the probes from the voltmeter and touch them to the needles with the car in accesorory mode. At first I was looking for the right power wire, then I was looking for the one that switches on and off with the ignition. Not that hard to find it. Wish I had taken a picture, but I didn't. Once I had found the 2 correct plugs I pushed the Invisicord plugs (if you haven't bought this for $10 you are going nowhere in this installation) into the jacks and plugged it into the detector. Boom, it worked! Now run the wires around and put the covers back together and push it back on. Use the Blend Mount to attach the detector and plug it in. Turns on and off with the ignition. Remember, this is from my memory a year ago, so little parts of this description may be wrong. Good luck and good driving. BTW, take a picture for future posters to see.
