Hey Gang
My 1987 (307 olds) Brougham has a thermal vacuum switch that I cant identify.
It is located at the front right of the engine as you stand in front. Its screwed into the intake manifold, and has a plastic end that looks like it should accept a hose. It points straight up. .............I dont know what hooks up to this or what it does.....Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks:alchi:

If I am correct you should have the same type connection in the rear of the intake manifold before the distrib. The hose was to run up the left side to the motor and meet a double junction something(dont know the tech terms) and run between the distrib and air element ontop of the motor. Then under the brake booster. If it is loose or off your should hear a wissing noise. Its 4 am here and if needed and I think I know what your talking about I will post a engine pic of what I think it is when the sun comes up and a whole engine pic

If not atleast you can use the pic to show us what you mean.
