I'm in the middle of changing my differential fluid on my 2005 and I am running into a problem I think. I followed the directions posted on cadillacfaq .com. The problem is, when I was refilling, it only took about 1 1/2 quarts before it started pouring back out with a steady flow. I had thought it was supposed to take a little more than 2 quarts to refill it. I drained the car while it was backed up on a pair of ramps as the faq page suggested. Am I missing somnething here? What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The "it takes over 2 quarts" is one of this forum's many urban legends.

Coming out the fill with about 1.5 quarts is exactly what it is supposed to do.

Nope that is all she'll take.
