1997 devile concours.

Remote will open gas cap door but will not open doors or trunk. Battery is good. Tried reprogramming remote to no avail. I know there is a tech bulletin on this somewhere. If somone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

I also have a 97 concours. I just programmed my remote and it will only open the doors, not the trunk or the gas door. I bought mine used, maybe our remotes are worn out. Did you try a brand new one? Go to the dealership and see if you can borrow (or buy and return) theirs.

shop foreman at local caddy dealer said most of the time this can be fixed by opening the case, seperating the circuit board and spraying w/ some electrical cleaner. i will try as soon as engine and electronics are back in the car. (fixing the head gaskets).
