Guys,
I have replaced the throttle control module on my CTS twice in a month. The first time I thought I may have ended with a defective unit but after having the second one fail I am wondering if there may be other issues.
The car runs fine after replacing the Throttle control unit but it looses its iddle settings after a few miles.
The car revs up on its own when you turn it own.

Any suggestions on what other things I should check for?

Yes, normally the car would run close to 1500-2000 rpm when first started (cold engine) but with this issue it goes up to around 3500-4000rpm and then down and cycles up and down.
Any ideas? I am growing very frustrated with this car.

I have not replaced the accelerator pedal yet. Would a faulty accelerator pedal also lead to sudden acceleration or idle problems?
The funny thing is that on the two times I installed a new throttle control body and resetted it, the vehicle worked just fine for a few miles. Then it goes back to the same problem of acceleration.
