I don't think you need to change anything. It should connect to the supply line just like the old (nylon) one.

Not sure what thread you are talking about, but the stainless steel fuel rails where made as a direct replacement for the recalled rails. Dealers where swapping them out in 30 minutes or less. They should be plug and play.
