My defogger grill broke and I got a replacement but it is black I need to paint it the correct color of my dashboard. I got a can of shale paint but it is the color of the seats. The dashboard is about 2 shades darker. Where can i find the color so I can finally paint it myself.
I am getting it installed soon!!!

The interior color pattern is shown on the RPO (Service parts) sticker under the spare tire cover.

I f you prime it first with krylon fusion it will.

You can get a small sample mixed up for a few bucks and adjust the shade up or down till you get it right.

You could probably lay it down with a sponge brush and it would smooth out i've had them scan and match and its a pretty impressive result.

Shale is the light tan on the seats ect... im talking about the wheat color on the dash its different than shale

Your not going to find a can of paint matching those molded pieces. You should have bought a nos or used one the right color.

I just had this problem with my Eldo , I went to Menards and walked over to the spray paint section and found a color close enough to pass for the dash color . I was just a shade darker but looking through the windshield you wouldn't even know . I thing the MFG was rustoleum.

FWIW, Shale was extremely common. The SEM dye to recolor the piece is worth more than a salvage yard would charge for another one. I'd just get another one.

According to paintref.com, the color code for shale is WA130B.

He would need the darker color, Neutral.
