In an effort to reduce front-end dive under breaking on my FE1 equiped '04, Ive bought some used FE2 front strut/spring units. The installation seems easy enough. My problem is that I don't have torque specs for the fasteners.

The specs I need are for:
1. The five bolts securing the upper strut mount to the strut tower
2. The two bolts/nuts that secure the strut mount to the upper A-arm
3. The two bolts that secure the strut to the lower A-arm

Can someone with a Helms help me out with this?

Thanks.

1. 83 lb ft
2. ?
3. 18 lb ft
*** 18 lb ft on the center shock nut also.
I'll keep looking for the upper arm to mount spec.

CT,

Thanks for the effort! Those were the fasteners at greatest risk since they are bolts into tapped holes. If the mount-to-upper-A-arm torque spec remains a mystery, maybe I can look up the bolt size and head markings to find a good approximation.

This is a great forum. I learned enough here to feel comfortable buying a used CTS.

Thanks again.
