ok guys need some opinions.

I have posted a few issues with this 93 STS before and thanks for all the help. I traded a 1990 4 runner for it even up, figured 4 runner valued at 2,500.

So I have this STS with 2,500 into it already. The bodys needs some work, door dings, front bumber, rear bumber, could really use a complete paint job. Carpets and headliner needs to be replaced, front 2 seats are worn but fair.
Now I know a good portion of that I can pick up reasonably and install myself.

I have #7 & #3 spark splugs that are DRENCHED with oil, from the threads down. Could be a number of things. Cant do work myslef.

Needs struts, front rotors, sway bar bushings. Proably cant do work myself.

Transmission drops down to 2nd gear once it goes into overdrive, its fine if driving in third. Probably (fingers crossed) shift selenoids. Probably can do myself. :crying:

Also some sort of oil leak toward the rear side of the engine by firewall that I cant pin point.

Also needs a radiator. "possibly" be able to do work.

Also have a code that I have been told is ECM going bad. P110 (I think)
I think I can do that myslef, depends on where its located. :crying:

Ok thats it I think plus of course other little nickel dime stuff.

Car is in the garage now and kills me to even look at it, as I cant afford to buy any parts to even think about starting to fix it.

Is it worth it to fix it or should I sell it and hope to get maybe 2k for it?
It has 115k miles which I think is decent for the year. the upside is I am not really hurting for a vehicle as I have a 86 deville not the prettiest but runs good. Sorry for the long post any input, opinions on it or cheap fixes would be appreciated. :)

Thanks for the input Cadfan. I figured that would be the general feeling.

Sprucegoose, thanks for your reply also, I dont know why it isnt showing up on my end???

Guess thats what I get for getting an auction car...even though my 86 Deville came from the same auction and is runing strong.

It hard to part with it since I have wanted one so bad for so long. The only reason I am even thinking about keeping it is its paid for, storage isnt a problem, have 2 other vehicles I can drive while I slowly get it back in shape. I do agree I will be so heavy money wise into it that I would be lucky to re coup 50%.

Now if the repairs were ALL the lessor of the evils as far as what they "could" be I would definatly keep it. The down side to dumping it is I dont think I would jack out of it.

So anyone wanna buy a 93 STS? LOL J/K

Anyway...thanks for the replys guys
