Need advice....extended warranty!

Over the years, I have bought ext. warranties on some vehicles and not on others.....most of the time never used them, a couple a times it did indeed pay off......here's my question: I have never explored GM extended factory warranties.....do any of you have any advice on the buy process? Will dealers offer competitive pricing? My dealer's financial guy of course has already presented me the MSRP figures for various plans.....but with my recent Mercedes, I found the factory warranties could be bought from ANY dealer.....and there were some who were willing to bring the price down considerably! What's the experience in Caddy world? Thanks.....!

If you are planning on keeping your Escalade for an extended time beyond the warranty or mileage coverage I would purchase the extended warranty. I didn't get it for my 15 as I'm leasing it but did get it for my 07 Escalade and my 12 CTS-V. One of the best places for pricing is James Black Cadillac/GMC. Bought mine thru them. Make sure you are purchasing the Cadillac one now. It used to be GMPP but now Ally has one as does Cadillac. Gets confusing today. You can compare them online. With all the technology packed in these vehicles it makes sense to pay for the warranty. You never know when you may need it.

Thanks.....and yes, have been doing the online research and REALLY was getting confused as to WHO is WHAT! .....but the Caddy Platinum 60/ 75K sounds like what I want. Mileage is my focus as I do about 18 - 20K a year, keep the vehicle 4yrs so burn up the OEM warranty in about 2 1/2 yrs...the Caddy plan would just about extend me the full 4yrs at my mileage rate. Hoping to get someone to knock 10% of MSRP....ill move on that!
Bought one....from James Black...thanks MRANT212!

Are the shocks included in your new warranty plan? The air compressor? Suspension parts like control arms, ball joints etc?
