Having a hard time finding part name for the "plastic cover that covers the wire harness between
the front and rear doors".
When you open front door there is the I think the "striker" that the door latches onto to keep it shut
and that striker sticks out and is about in the middle of that "plastic cover".
I hope my description is ok.
On my drivers door side, that plastic cover is just about 1/2 cracked off and I`d like to get a
replacement.
Thanks

I think you are talking about the noise/wind deflector between the doors. Long thin plastic that usually breaks. Not sure what it's called. They always break, I took mine off.

Even if they are not broken, any attempt to remove them usually results in some damage. They are quite delicate and fragile after hardening over long periods of time.

I`ve been Googling noise/wind deflector for my era Sedan Deville and all I get are those wind deflectors that are on top of the door windows.
Not sure if that`s the correct name for those or not.

Unfortunantly, Google is going to give you tons of "aftermarket" add-ons.

Even if you find what it's called, I don't know if that will help much in your search for one, since most people who have one for sale will not know what it's called.
You're going to have to be real creative with your ebay search words.

I like your choice of Caddy`s you own---almost exactly same as mine!
I have`nt found anything at all on the mystery part.
Without a correct part name it`s difficult finding it.
Maybe I could just repair it using some fiberglass--there`s enough of the part left to use for support.

Ive delt with thefellers at Cadillac King a few times, they will know what your talking about. They are however very proud or there parts.

Harbor Freight has plastic welders, but you have to know what kind of plastic it is. Fiberglass may work, Id glass the whole back.

You Tube is your friend on learning some of this stuff.

According to Cadillac King--the name of part is "door striker post cover".
