I looked thru several hundred search results and couldn't find an answer.....

Does the warning screen that you have to press "OK" to that you won't manipulate the navigation while driving, ever go away? Is there a way to make it go away? Can the dealer?
Thanks!!

Re: Navagation warning screen, 09 STS

Reading the 2011 manual, it states that the message only appears once every 50 ignition cycles. This is about the same as the older navigation systems (2003-06) Escalade and similar. I considered replacing mine with a 2011 model year nav, but I haven't been able to confirm with certainty that it has actually changed. All other model years of this body style are every ignition cycle for sure.

No, it cannot be disabled via any means.
Well, not entirely true...

All you need is someone with the source code for the radio, an understanding of how to modify it and the ability to reload the radio. Pretty simple if you're a Denso navigation radio software engineer.

Feel free to buy one and let us know.

The 02 deville with Denso navigation asked everytime as well along with my Garmin system in the Kenwood head unit in my other car.

If you get some time to reverse engineer and reprogram the STS nav that would be cool too :)
