A friend of my cousin was telling me that I should go and see if I could get a navigation system from a local junkyard and put it on my 90 DeVille. I thought he was crazy, but then the idea sounded pretty good. I have very limited knowledge on cars, but I kinda thought that it was impossible. Is it possible. I know I saw another thread where a guy got a navigation system from a Buick or something like that. But I mean, my car is old. What do you all think?

go for it. navigation system simply needs a GPS antennae. its gets its heading from the GPS (your vehicle has to be in motion for this). they pretty much work standalone. the only problem I can think of is that the NAV/Stereo system maybe locked because it things its stolen. you may need help from the dealer to get it to power-up or to unlock it.
