Hello, I have a 2008 Escalade Platinum. The navigation arrow on the screen is not accurate. Its always ahead of my acutal position by a street or half a street. I have changed the GPS antenna also I bought the new updated CD and that still did not fix my issue. I took it in to the dealership and they did not know what to do. Can someone please help me out.

Thank you.

Do you have an aftermarket NAV addon such as the GMX 550 that allows for Nav entry while driving or DVD display on the main screen when in motion. I have a GMX 550 in one of mine and the arrow is offset as well like yours. Unfortunately it causes a lot of annoyance as it thinks I have gone thru the intersection when I am just entering it and starts recalculating the route. It was the reason I went with Barracuda on my other truck, although comes with less options, also causes no issues.

What iPod connector do you have? If it's the one that goes in-line with the head/NAV unit, that might be the problem. I'd start by eliminating that first... I also had many issues with an aftermarket ipod connector/Lock Pick. Until, I disconnected all that garbage out of the chain. The fix for me, was to get an updated NAV unit from the newer models with the USB connection for the iPod fix.

As said one of my iPod lockpicks made my Nav act strange and was less than accurate, when I unplugged it the unit was fine, I just learned to live with it because I do not have cars that long

It would seem to me is to remove the ipod connector you have. It is probably tied thru to the back of the navigation unit. You will have to pull the nav unit out and disconnect this connector. It probably has a tie in harness that connects one end to your unit and the other end connects to the wiring in the dash. If you remove this harness you will notice that you can connect the wiring connector in the dash to your head unit directly. This ipod connector feeds of this harness thru a control box of some kind. Since I do not know what kind of ipod add-on you have I cant be specific.

I would follow the link to see the installation if the GMX 550 and basically reverse the steps:
http://www.coastaletech.com/GMX550.htm

Hope this helps.

Did you take out the entire control box and associated wiring? Also you may want to check that the GPS antenna cable did not come off when you pulled the other stuff. I done see any other reason for the GPS not to work if it was working earlier.
