Okay....first post guys. I have a 90 coupe deville that has a clunk in the front end that has started to get noticeable. I am assuming its in the brake system but would like to hear your thought. While driving and putting on the brakes there is a clunk clunk clunk sound that is tied to the speed of the wheels. It slows as the car slows. It even puts a clunk "feel" to the brake pedal as well. The car only has 48,000 miles. I was thinking CV joints but its sorta backwards (usually the clunk goes away with brakes applied). The car doesnt lurch with brakes appled either. Any ideas?

Take the tires off and inspect the front brakes. There is apparently something happening with them. I would take the calipers off and inspect the pads.
