Anyone ever seen this? My 2001 Deville had a leak under the left front suspension last night, so I took a look...seems to be coming out of the front lower control arm bushing. It's a black liquid with thin consistency, and it's not brake or tranny fluid...could be old lube I guess. The top of the bushing and the area around it was dry, so I'm fairly certain it came from the bushing itself. I cleaned everything up to see if it was still leaking, and today it's pretty dry. No change in drivability that I can notice. Did this stuff come from the bushing?

Are you sure it's not brake fluid? That can get pretty black, especially if it's very near the calipers. Did you feel it?

Yep...I inspected all the lines, calipers, the CV boot, and everything else in that area...and the entire control arm is dry too...it's definitely coming from the bushing. This is the front bushing, so it's about a foot in front of the wheel.
