Since I'm new to this forum, I think its only right that I show my STS. So here it is. I've only gotten the windows tinted and put 22's on it since i've had it. I plan on changing the tail light to the clear ones and changing the bulbs in the clear lights to blue to match my car. Also ive found a clear brake light for my trunk that i'm gonna put in too. So as you can see, i got plans for my ride.

What kind of ride do you get with the 22"s. Be truthful.
nice, the first thing you should of done after tint was a chrome mesh grille from E&G it makes the car look a lot more luxurious... then if you want to take it a bit further get egx body kit from www.grillesandmore.com. thats the route i took... or if you got gwop to drop a D3 body kit... in regards to the blue LEDs i wouldnt suggest it if you dont want trouble from police... i had them in my car for 3 months and got 3 tickets for $110 each, and warned 6 other times to take them out... but i am not gonna lie it makes the car look 10x sexier during the day, it turns a lot of heads on my black sts... i opted out for some HID white LED... you should take that route...
My 20's definately make it where you feel the cracks more. Dips and such in the road are exactly the same, it's the harsh stuff that get's trasmitted through to the chassis. Things that are too sudden for the suspension to handle.

My car still rides smooth but you definately have to watch out for the potholes. The mesh grille is the next thing ima do to my car but i got something special in mind that a dude is gonna hook up for me with my emblem. I will post it when he gets done. Seriously, i dont know what size my tires are. I bought the rims and tires in a package all together for $1900, they dont rub tho which suprised me cause the fronts looked like they would rub.
Why did GM ever put in such an ugly grill? My STS is black and I painted the grill to match and it looks a shit load better than theat cheap looking plastic grey!
What do you mean by my spine? It rides fine to me, still has the cadillac smoothness and all I have to watch out for is potholes.

"Cadillac smoothness" went out the window once I swapped my DHS for an STS. Even a Chrysler minivan gives a better ride...
Unless "GM 2.0" gives a smooth ride in the DT7, my next car will be foreign. A tough decision to make what with living in a town with a major North American car plant, but hey - it's my money and my spine.

He means it's still smooth enough for an STS, obviously on smooth roads,heck, it might even be smoother than my V.
22's on an STS is not that unusual, a lot of our customers have them with no problems and they like them! We even sell STS's off the showrom floor with them, no problem with the warranty or anything. But, you do have to drive the car like it has fragile wheels on it, which is to avoid potholes,slow down for dips and stay off curbs. Apparently, this young man knows to do that, therefore has no trouble with his spine.:stirpot:
Of course your mini van give a better ride than an STS, but you have to stop to turn a corner though.:thepan:
There is a lot of varience in the ride of differently equipped STS'. Many would consider my 2006 STS4 1SG too harsh, even with MRC in Touring. I will likely change to softer sidewall tires when I have to re-shoe!

Though I figured the clearances in the frame would be too small to accommomdate 22's, the whip is hot son... !!!
