Went to a local shop to get a base dyno on the v....This is with a mustang dyno

No mods, closed engine lid, stock 6spd manual with 2200 miles..

501tq
462hp

I'm wondering if the air intake has alot to do with the mismatch on the hp...Otherwise very happy since mustang dyno's dyno a good % lower than dynojets.

Seems about right to me. Now remove the bottom of the airbox or just flip the top lid upside down, throw in the tune and do another run. :D

Nice Numbers! And everyone was giving us (Silver -V-) crap for having a "happy" dyno when he pulled 504 with a stock 6sp manual.

(DynoJet) I'm no expert but the manual V2s seem to be putting more down (490-500ish) than the autos (460-480ish) stock. Over 500 with a tweak to the airbox. Then again, you cannot really compare dyno numbers unless they are on the exact same dyno.

exactly thats why its important to do a base run on the dyno you'll be using later on. I'll probally hit the same dyno back at around 6k after the motor fully breaks in and with the lid off to see the difference

It makes sense that autos (in general) put down less power to the wheels than manuals--autos have more powertrain loss....but I'd honestly still very with 480 rwhp. I don't even know what I'd do with more power than that, anyway! :)

Yeah, car makes peak horsepower at 6200RPM. That seems to be your horsepower error.
Yea there was a very odd "burp" out of the exhaust at the end. I think Jesse knows what this is, I believe its like a throttle pause and the end of the rpm range for a shift. I'm more than sure his tune gets rid of this. The motors do like to run hot though because out of the 3 runs the car was jumping 10-15hp/tq on each run

I have a scheduled dyno with sp again for the WFM 90mm TB & the new era 4in intake on the stock tune. I want to see what kind of #'s it gets but most importantly how the ecu adjusted the a/f for the mods.

Maybe that was torque management cutting back on power right before the shift?

As I said on ***************, thanks for sharing.
