'91 also gave us Metallica's Black Album.

And I prefer Disposable Heroes to Master of Puppets, but both are classics. :)

Are the spots with questions marks where you're still undecided? Appetite for Destruction is good, but I'd go with INXS's Kick for album in 1987.

Interesting choices, many of which I'm unfamiliar with, but we have different tastes. I will assume you don't care for U2 since my top choices for 1987 would be The Joshua Tree and Where the Streets Have No Name. 1993 I'd pick Sheryl Crow's Tuesday Nigh Music Club and All I Wanna Do. 1967 is a very hard year to pick just one, but I'd go with I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You and Respect from Aretha Franklin (who gets a mention in Hey Nineteen). 1999, Shelby Lynne, I am Shelby Lynne and Dream Some. And 2006, both album and song, Black Cadillac from Rosanne Cash.

Yeah, no good albums I can think of from '88 and '96.

Excellent choices, many that I agree with too. Frankly, I thought you only liked Oasis which I always thought were a little fruity so I'm impressed finding bands like the Stones, GnR, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith on this list. ;)

I don't "only" like anything. I'm not that close-minded. Oasis is good, probably the hardest rocking of the modern Britpop groups, but I wouldn't call them an all out rock group, atleast not in the states. I used to like them a lot more than I do now.

You missed a ton of great rock in the 70s, you definately hit the mainstream stuff....but to each his own.
