Picked up the car yesterday. Body work on passenger side looks great and a real ACDelco battery is installed along with a new fuse block. According to the service advisor you cannot just replace one fuse but the entire metal plate and all the fuses. The funny thing is they had to order the battery from Amazon.
So, this closes out my dealer nightmare stories. Everything is now right in the world.

Ok, let me ask you another funny question, considering they got the battery from Amazon ,what was the price they charged you ?

Are the individual fuses removable on this new block?
It looks to me like you CAN change the individual fuses. I attached a couple of up-close pictures for you to decide.
I wouldn't be surprised if some GM bean counter did a cost analysis of labor and decided it was cheaper to just replace the entire fuse block.

They originally charged me 390.00 for what I learned was a Nissan battery. When I was told that the reason was, they couldn't get an ACDelco battery because of "supply chain and back-order issues", Yada, Yada, Yada. When I saw what they charged me for the battery I Googled the ACDelco battery part number and Amazon was one of the results and they wanted 225.00 Plus shipping. I showed this to the service manager, and he was near speechless. He couldn't understand how Amazon had it and his "official" GM parts distributor couldn't get one. I laughed and said, "Amazon has everything they're taking over the world".
When I picked up the car, he told me the shipping cost was 80.00.
So, for all my trouble I received a hundred apologies and a gift card of 250.00 on my next needed service work.

That looks like the fuse block on my 2020. The individual fuses can be changed, however, the metal buss under the fuses is a thin foil that will distort easily if too much torque is applied to those rather large nuts holding them in place. Probably a good idea in a service bay to replace the entire fuse block rather than risk damage to the foil buss.

Perhaps the service department should subscribe to PRIME.

Good gesture to give you the gift card which also serves to bring you back.

The dealership has always treated me great, and I had/have no complaints with them. It was just one of those instances where EVERYTHING seemed to be going wrong. A couple of days before the car was finished, we had a line of storms come thru the area and I was waiting for them to call and say the car got hit by lightning.:D
