Sounds amazing, very low note for a V6. Drones a little on the highway but not badly. I love the pops and crackles when you let off. I just cut the mufflers off and welded in pipes leaving the stock exhaust tips in place, it was really easy because the tips have hangers right behind them.

Here's a video of how it sounds.

Sounds pretty good. You leave the resonators in place?

Yeah I did, only cut the mufflers off. From what I read cutting resonators off would make it sound kind of like a tin can and possibly throw codes.

Sounds just like a 1954 Chevy BelAir with the I-6 engine and a glasspack.

Sounds good. I like it but it's just a bit too loud for me. Any suggestions for replacement mufflers? Any chance that a V axle-back could be adapted with 2.25 to 2.5" reducers?

Thanks. I like the Corsa axle back but my wallet prefers the OBX or better yet, simply welding in a new pair of mufflers. Another project on the list.

For a NA 3.6 (220 c.i.) with true duals the exhaust pipe size could be 1.5" and still offer no real backpressure problems. 2" is plenty, larger is overkill. After-cat pipe size (and overall length) CAN be used for exhaust note tuning.

In comparison the Genll CTS-V with 556 hp LSA has a 2-1/2" exhaust.
