My miles per gallon read out is acting up since I put the Volant CAI in . I was getting about 17.7 now it is all over the map . From 45.3 down to 8.8 Anyone know what is up with it?

That wierd. Mine stays pretty constant. normally 16.6 to 17.7. How long have you had it? Maybe the computer is adjusing to it.:hmm:

Do you have 'instantaneous MPG' selected, instead of 'average MPG'?

Mine stays at around 24.5, but I do a lot of highway driving. City only, I drop to 19.5-ish.

Does the car need to adjust to the volant or does the computer need to be reprogrammed to accept the increase in air.

The PCM will automatically adjust for any increase in airflow. It will take a short while (minutes to hours, not days or weeks) to adjust, as the PCM learns.

I agree with Ody, it sound like instant MPG. It behaves like that.
