Okay. I'd like to know who here has the modified Fleetwoods. I know we have the Fleetwood SS. Katshot's FTS.. Hot Rod Saint - what do you call yours? Scrapyard sold his recently. Right?

I never realized there was such a following for these cars.. Maybe this section should be seperated from the DeVilles.. It does seem like a totally different car... Atleast from 93-96 anyway...

Sal, et al:

I don't have a name for my FWB (at least not yet) but it is just like yours except the exterior is grey-blue; it's also a '95 with 97,000 miles and is in near perfect condition. I used to have a '93 but traded it in for the '95 to get the LT1. Until I stumbled upon this great forum I never knew there were so many fairly easy mods you could do yourself to make it even more of a performance car! I've only had it two weeks but so far have put on Dayton wire wheels, done the HP & Fb deletes, installed the "sewer pipe" intake and swiss cheesed the air box. As soon as I get the time and $$ I will do the TB bypass, install the 160 degree thermo, put on the turbo mufflers, get the PCM reprogrammed, and install the Corvette fuel rail covers. All in good time, but sometimes I get pretty impatient. I love my FWB primarily as a beautiful luxury car, but it's really a gas to make it into a stealth screamer too! BTW, how do all you guys load your pics? Does everyone in the world except me have a digital camera already?

I guess i would like to classify mine in the modified category. But I just got the car and its been too cold to play with it. So far I did the sewer pipe and hockey puck. I got the fuel rails but I haven't done it yet. I did front KYB's, and I put my 17" player wire wheels (that are shot but good rubber) on it till the spring.

They're 15" wheels; I have to admit that the first owner bought them -- it would take me a while to save up the $$ to pay $450/each!:coolgleam

OK,

The "SStealth Hot Rod" is signing in :coolgleam This is one of the original Fleetwood "Touring Sedans" and is built only with GM parts where available. The car is now 10 years old and has over 290,000 miles on the original LT1 engine.

The name SStealth came about because of the extensive use of Impala SS parts in the suspension, brakes, and other modifications.

It's not that they don't look good. But if everyone has them, then whats so special about having them?

Lowriding, just like any other car sub-culture, is about making it uniquely your own. If I put hydro's and 14's on my car, how unique would it really be?

I'd guess there are about 100 Black Fleetwoods that are hooked up like that. And that's just counting those between Atlantic and Rosemead Blvd!
