It's time for new all season tires for my 2011 AWD Coupe. The factory sizes for 18" is:

235/50-18 Front
265/45-18 Rear

Now, do you guys think it will be mechanically ok for AWD to have different brand tires on the front than the rear, as long as I stick to the right size?

Good thing you asked before buying. Look real close on the sidewall of your OE tires and you'll see a warning that use of any other brand on this car will cause complete mechanical failure! j/k ;)
No, as long as you stick to the same size there's no problem. You can probably even go up a little, but you should verify for proper fit first.

I'm not a fan of mixing and matching. Not saying you will have trouble, but if you do mix and match with AWD, then the Outside Diameter is important that they all match.
