Mix 1/2 0W30 and 1/2 5W30 during oil change=2.5W30? Better all around for the engine if it works.... :suspense:

VERY few scenarios in which an engine that doesn't require synthetic will benefit in any way from it. And the advantages will not be in lubrication.

Since 0W30 Full Synthetic is for colder climates and the upper starting at 5W30, 0W30 flows quicker during cold starts than 5W30. I fully understand the differences between the grades and the recommended threshold for each grade as outlined in the OM, was just wondering if it can be done that way. 2.5W30 will be better for Cold starts than 5W30. I also understand it depends on the climate where you drive/live that will help dictate the recommended oil.

Look at the container for the 0W30. Can you find the Dexos logo?

Your logic is flawed and so is your understanding of warranty coverage.
