manual liftgate recall

Just received a recall from Cadillac regarding a 'manual liftgate gas strut'. Didn't even know I had one, but apparently this can result in 'damage to the liftgate exterior trim and sheet metal'.

I still haven't brought it in for the rear 're-torquing' recall a few months ago, so I guess I can get them both done once winter subsides, probably sometime in July here in the Boston area.

Hello retcad,

It is certainly true that the winter can make outings more difficult. Feel free to send me a PM if you would like me to facilitate your dealership visit. In addition, please include your full name, VIN, mileage, phone number, and the name of your involved dealership in your message. Enjoy your evening and I hope that I may be of assistance.

Regards,
