Mallett Conversion - warranty engine replacement?

I bought a used 2007 CTS V with a Mallett conversion and 25000 miles on it in 2017 . I also purchased the extended warranty through the credit union and also had to use it a few times and it paid what it was liable far . Last week i brought it to my local Cadillac dealership to check out a noise in the engine and thought the noise was from the Harmonic Balancer . The dealer service department says its number 7 piston slapping and that they have to replace the engine and will replace it with a remanufactured LS 2 , The problem is my Mallett engine will be replaced with a stock remanufactured engine , Is the warranty company suppose to replace it with a ls 2 or with the same Mallett ls 2 .
