Mallett Conversion - warranty engine replacement?

I bought a used 2007 CTS V with a Mallett conversion and 25000 miles on it in 2017 . I also purchased the extended warranty through the credit union and also had to use it a few times and it paid what it was liable far . Last week i brought it to my local Cadillac dealership to check out a noise in the engine and thought the noise was from the Harmonic Balancer . The dealer service department says its number 7 piston slapping and that they have to replace the engine and will replace it with a remanufactured LS 2 , The problem is my Mallett engine will be replaced with a stock remanufactured engine , Is the warranty company suppose to replace it with a ls 2 or with the same Mallett ls 2 .

Tough to answer as it depends on how smart or stupid the insurance people are as not only engine mod changes but also has a non GM calibration
They could deny claim if they catch wind of that but it they do not catch it and pay for another engine it would only be stock as to GM design

Also then with stock engine that means the existing Chuck Mallett tune will be wrong for that and would require new tuning
for stock engine to run.
Really would need to know what Chuck did as to mods and tune as I own a 1999 Mallett 435 Corvette and the engine mods (stroked, CAM, race pistons, etc) to larger fuel injectors makes the PCM tune quiet different then GM stock calibration
