All kidding aside, I'd sure like to know what caused the engine fire. I'm sure Mallet would like to know as well. Not the best ambassador for their work either.

Just a guess, but maybe the owner tried to get Mallet to pay for the damage, they denied due to owner added other after-market parts or contributed in another fashion which released Mallet from liability, as if they acknowledged error they would own the car today.

That car (2004) was most likely past the warranty timeframe anyways. If it was a Mallett contributing factor, it most likely would have happened years ago.
