Is there a way to make the XM Radio and the onstar work if i use the IPOD2CAR? Hopefully somebody figured out to do this. I don't want to use the pxgm24. I want to be able to plug the ipod in the bottom and not use RCA's? Please help me!!!

Thanks,

I hooked up a PS2 and Sirius tuner there is an adapter that I got that hooks up inline to the 6 disk. it has a small 3 position toggle sw. so when I am in cd mode I flip it up the ps2 is powered on the nav screen flips to the ps2 input and the ps2 audio is played in the speakers when in the down pos the sirius tuner is heard and in the middle it is th 6 disk (normal). but it is all connected to the switcher box via RCA? so I don't know if there is any way around not using rca's what is your issue w/ rca what other option is there for the ipod. the wireless FM transmitters are a step (or 4) down from rca. I had my sirius tuner hooked up w this for a very short time. if you have a tape deck there is a cool wireless (bluetooth) tape adapter that i have seen in Pop Sci mag but you would have to get an adapter to work with the ipod? I don't know it this helps any but rca's are common connectors and decent quality.

Why don't you use USA Spec's PA 11 ? I got it to work with my Nav system that has the Terk XM Direct (but there is instructions to connect it to the factory XM receiver) and 6 Disc Changer.

So the Ipod is XM1 (D 1-5), XM radio is XM2, my Changer is CDX and DVD Changer plays movies video on my nav via PAC VCI-GM1 and audio is on XM1 (D 6).

If you need help setting that up... just PM me :)

I will email you shortly, but for everyone, this is how I setup my system.

I have a non-touchscreen Nav system with the PAC VCI-GM1 it's a add-on piece that allows you to play a video signal on your nav screen. The VCI-GM1 allows you to have two video inputs (backup camera and DVD or whatever that has a video out).

I have the Alpine DHA-S680 DVD Changer in the back (where the 3rd row storage is, driver side), so the video signal goes to the VCI-GM1 and the audio goes to the AUX input of the USA SPEC PA11.

The USA SPEC PA 11 controls my ipod and my DVD audio input under the "XM1" band
D 1-4 : are playlist from my ipod
D 5 : is every song on my ipod
D 6 : is my DVD audio from the changer in the back

XM2 band is my Terk XM Direct XMDGMK with I got it working with the new Onstar four-band antenna (cellular, GPS, XM sat, XM terrestrial). So no two ugly antennas... just one :D

Hello Goodfela,
I came across one of your posts and I took your recommendation for the PA11-GM I have it installed and it works great! now I will be going on a trip this summer and I want to play some DVDs for the kids. I saw that you have the PAC VCI-GM1 I don't know how this operates but I do work with electronics alot so I should catch on rather quickly. Do you have any recommendations for monitors in the headrests and a DVD changer or even a single DVD/CD player to replace the changer. I don't need to have different movies playing in each headrest like I saw some people have and would I be able to split the signal to have the factory NAV and 2 headrests playing the same DVD?
