I am posting this for my parents. They have a 2011 CTS with magnetic suspension. Over the past week they noticed that the rear end was gliding around corners. My dad noticed once he parked it that the rear end of the car was about a foot higher that what it should be. Anyone have a idea what would cause this? He said he hit a pothole in Texas a few weeks ago but didnt notice anything wrong. Thanks

Does the CTS use rear ELC (Electronic Level Control - to compensate for extra weight in the trunk or back seat) ? If so, it's very possible that a height control sensor link rod has popped off the suspension arm.

Thanks. I realized I posted in the wrong thread afterwards. It was the height control rod.

Glad to hear it was an easy and cheap fix.
