I have an 07 STS4 with the magnetic suspension. The car has about 125K miles. I would like to swap out the magnetic shocks for conventional shocks with a softer ride, any suggestions?

Look into the Monroe catalog. Stay away from the remanufactured Arnott and Strutmasters stuff.

I would expect that FE3 also had stiffer springs. I believe the anti-roll bars may be the same though. They are different across V6/V8 and RWD/AWD but not FE1/FE3.
In touring mode, if you really think it rides too harshly, try running the tires at the factory 30/30 cold.
