Magnacharger Question??

874 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Dennisscars
I am in about to get a Magna s/c 2nd hand. The kit was ordered for an '05, but I have an '04. Does anyone know if I can use the programmer in the kit even though it's a different year?

Nope - you can't use the programmer. The SuperChips programmer is keyed to the VIN of the car it was ordered for.

The good news is that you can send your PCM to StealthV Engineering and he'll be able to program it for you.

I used the SuperChips programmer and it got the car running. I ended up sending the PCM to Rick, much happier with the StealthV tune.

Would be a good idea to send the PCM and get it programmed while your installing the maggie.

You are not gonna believe it when you get your "V" done.

WHOO HOOO!
You do NOT want the stock Maggie tune--TRUST ME on this one...

Just tell Rick that you want a better tune than GT04CTS got. This way you can get 30MPG..

stock maggie tune sucks. get the maggie and scrap the tuner, but yes the maggie, intercooler etc will fit
lasstss - 30 mpg my arse!

Everybody here has directed you correctly. Pull the PCM and ship to Rick at the start of your install. Make sure you arrange it beforehand because he is quite busy. Don't even bother with the Superchips tune (won't work in your case anyway).

Trust me, I know the StealthV Wildpower (tm) tune well. The improvements are insane.
