Deliveries have resumed as of last week.

2024 Info Now Coming January (2023)
*Previously Dec 2022

Looks like additional units will be converted to 2024. More than first thought. 2023 Production numbers get smaller.

We could see 2024 LYRIQ production start February 2023

LYRIQ training @ Indianapolis Motor Speedway was yesterday. 94mph was the fastest i went in the LYRIQ. All Smiles. The handling was the most impressive. Really got to push the vehicle. Tires chirping away through the turns. Trust me, you will be blown away. Love the one pedal driving. Google Assistant is very impressive when you start using it.

Fun Fact. Cadillac went through 200 different wheel / tire designs before settling on what they came up with for LYRIQ. The attention to detail on this and other parts of the LYRIQ make it stand out from the competitors.

I hope so, I am pretty confident I will get bumped to a '24.

I'm at least the second order of my exact AWD configuration (one is on the tracker here and dealer said "that's been a popular configuration today") in one of the 10 least populous state which has at least 3 Cadillac dealers.

Yeah, I think that may be reality also. But it conflicts with the statement that they are starting AWD production in December this year.

Could always change. It's what works today. Tomorrow could be a different story.

I was with a VW dealer few years back. The front bumper cover for Atlas / Tiguan faced a major challenge. A freaking volcano erupted and destroyed the manufacturing facility that was nearby for those parts. A new supplier was needed immediately. VW found one. Could not sell those vehicles until those cars were re-crashed and tested / certified. Unbelievable things happen. Never know what might happen tomorrow.

I mean it could be true. They could be building AWD Satin grey Lyriqs that are basically DEs/RWDs with an extra motor... in limited numbers.

If MY24 starts in Feb, seems like they would have finalized spec/feature/price changes. Know if they plan to announce any of it soon? Seems awfully close between DE deliveries to '24 deliveries. I'm hoping that doesn't mean there are significant fixes/improvements between the two that DE's miss. It would almost seem foolhardy to take delivery of a DE in Jan (which seems to be the general target date) if the next model year is available just a few weeks later.

"A few weeks later" would turn into like a year at this point with how reservations are stacked up. Up for another wait?
At this point, whatever my DE turns out to be will be welcomed with wide open arms and become an instant member of the family.

Definitely not a DE with a AWD powertrain and so many other option changes (though mostly deletes) for the AWD offering. But I have to think them building AWD's in December is old info. Or it is just like how they started Lyriq production in 'March' of this year 'ahead of schedule' - which meant nothing to actual people due to receive cars.

So if a majority of 2023 reservations roll over to 2024 MY, will they be given any priority? Or will we still have to await the coveted allocation? I’m sure no one knows but this could really get out of hand.

I did notice that, but just assumed it's the one we've seen at the other press releases. It does have over 1400 miles on it, so it's been making the rounds.

It is all glass but these demo vehicles were running two different paint schemes.

As @Lockhart Cadillac said, some of the preproduction press units had blacked out a pillars and roofs, which isn't a production offering at this point. Personally, not a fan, but a lot of folks like it.

Assuming the 23 DE is still at $60k, switching to 24 anything will be (a lot?) more. You then have to ask yourself if the model year is worth that much to you.

If you're leasing, knowing the residual for each of the two alternatives up front eliminates the uncertainty about how much you'll have paid overall for a 24 instead of a 23 when you return it at lease end. You can then ask yourself what that extra money is getting you besides bragging rights.

If you're buying, it's more of a crap shoot as to what the market will be offering for a 23 vs. a 24 when you sell.

And if buying, there's also the calculation the next buyer will make when comparing a 23 with 36,000 miles and a 24 with the same mileage. The 23 may somehow seem less used despite no difference in miles. Not that I have any idea how KBB makes that calculation.

Just stumbled on this . Lots of vague numbers thrown around, one of which is $80,000. On the off chance they know something, that and my plummeting trade in value could put me on the sidelines.
