Lyriq issues/software tracker spreadsheet

Probably not the best way to do this and I will probably eventually regret opening this up, but I have created an open/shared Google Sheet - Lyriq issue/software tracker
Intent is to make it easier to see/search a summary of software releases/reported issues and solutions.
I've listed things that have had at least a few reports from multiple members to try and keep the data more broadly meaningful.
I've included links to posts on this forum where it seems appropriate.
I've numbered the bugs in sequential order (but not based on any actual order or priority) to make it easier for us to reference a particular bug number rather than type everything out.

Feel free to add/update descriptions/links/whatever. I may lock/clean up/change formatting near this initial time period from time to time, but it's not something that I plan to personally maintain to exacting detail long term. I hope we don't really need it long term. If you make use of it, please use good judgement when making modifications. If it gets to be too much, I may just end up giving a heads up and deleting it and letting someone else copy/migrate it elsewhere.

I have a DE built Oct/Nov 02, delivered late May 03 and current milage 7000 plus. No issues since update of all the modules by the dealer about 4 weeks back. Since the update all phantom messages have stopped, no hard braking while backing in rain, and adaptive cruise is working much better. The dealer paper work shows about 4 hours for updating all the modules, the car was at the dealership overnight. So my experience suggests you should get it updated.

Thanks for sharing. It can definitely be a mixed bag. I would say this is very similar to what happened when SuperCruise was enabled in the field on the DE's. For some vehicles it was an easy go for the dealer, but other vehicles had more problems. As this was encountered, GM had to revise the procedure with special steps (remove this fuse if this happens, do this if this happens, etc). Because of so many variations with what software version is in which module (given build timing and applied OTA updates), that seems to yield variability that impacts this. Glad to hear you had a good experience, and bugs and functionality improved.

Question I have a 2024 AWD Lux1 that I purchased in June 2023. I manually check for updates monthly. It always says up to date and I have never received an alert to do an update. Yet o. The tracker I see a couple of updates that map to a 2024. Is there something I need to do to make the car recognize an OTA is due?

I try not to be someone who changes their mind back and forth on an issue. But sometimes circumstances make up your mind for you in the opposite direction. I headed into the dealership on Friday to get my hitch receiver installed. After the announcement that OTAs were to be put on hold again, I resolved not to get PIT6065C, updating all of my modules, on the theory that the path forward for software updates was unclear and based on the negative experiences of some in this forum. I parked in the dealer lot trying to figure out where to park since they had construction going on. When I turned the car back on, I got a cascade of error messages that kept popping back up. My car had been pretty stable for the past couple of months with only a couple of incidents. The new flurry of errors was a departure from that, so I just said f*** it, I'm here and the updates may help.

I talked to the service rep, and they let me know they could do PIT6065C while they had my Lyriq. According to him, they only had trouble updating one of the modules but were ultimately successful. I thought non-module updates were on hold, but they gave installed what appears to be the version that corresponds to the most recent OTA, GMN23-G170AB. I screenshotted the number. I now have the longer tray with one-pedal drive, the glovebox, and the garage door opener. The garage door opener looks to be geofenced. It popped up when I got a block from home. As for other changes, when you put it in reverse with one-pedal drive on, it creeps like a traditional ICE vehicle. I actually prefer this, so a win for me! If you're considering getting the update, this is another datapoint. FWIW, my Lyriq is a 2024 Lux 1 purchased in August. Good luck to all of you trying to improve your software through PIT6065C!

Hopefully there is a "Creep off" configuration option somewhere. That's a negative from all the positive in this update. Also the first time I've heard of such a thing on the Lyriq. That's rather unfortunate.

I got my new one off the truck mid to late December so my ASSUMPTION is I have this version. There is no Surround vision yet. I've not checked for Alexa. The only issue I've noticed so far is my google assistant will sometimes turn itself off. I don't use 1 pedal driving so not sure on the reverse part. The geofence garage door button works great.

To be clear, there is no 'this version'. There is different software on each of the cars many modules, and newer software has definitely been released since after your car has been built.

The software people 'see' is the infotainment software, but there is a lot more on the car than that - and the total sum is what have been causing a lot of bugs given different versions and update methods.

Todays shower thought: Have we identified any 23s that are running the newest infotainment software?

Well, I just got my 2023 RWD back from the whole car update (a 1.5 week effort). Huge list of updated module software provided. Regarding infotainment, none of the new features talked about - no garage door opener in reverse, no garage door geofence in tray, no Alexa, no outside perspective 360 camera. Speed limit sign is fixed - that's it. No change in Android kernel build version, and nothing new showing up in software history.

Currently have an issue where OnStar LED is now red. Oddly, it seems to connect, and Google Assistant works. Will monitor for any other anomalies.

If the bugs are fixed by the whole vehicle update process, I'll be pleased (need more time to evaluate). But still disappointed to not have the other improvements that others have mentioned with recent updates done on the 2024's.

WELL NOW, IT SEEMS YOU GUYS HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT. I'M A CADILLAC, FACTORY TRAINED, FULLY CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN AND HAVE READ A FEW THINGS HERE... SOME VALID, SOME NOT. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR EV, ASK A PROFESSIONAL. I HAVE A CUSTOMER THAT HAS DISCONNECTED THE 12V BATTERY A FEW TIMES TO RESET A RADIO ISSUE, HE WAS TOLD IT WAS OK ON A FORUM LIKE THIS. MAYBE EVEN THIS ONE. NOT SMART! BATTERY VOLTAGE NEEDS TO BE MEASURED PRIOR TO DOING SO TO MAKE SURE THE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM IS NOT CHARGING THE LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEM. THE MISINFORMATION HE WAS GIVEN COULD HAVE HARMED HIM, AND/OR THE VEHICLE. IN WHICH CASE, WOULD NOT BE A WARRANTABLE THING. I'M STILL TYING TO DISCERN WHAT HAPPENED. THE 12V BATTERY DIED AFTER A RADIO PROGRAMMING EVENT. IT HAD A TROUBLE CODE SET THAT I NEED TO CHASE DOWN. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE-THESE THINGS CAN AND WILL KILL YOU!!!

Somewhat off-topic but will become more relevant over time. I found these for what GM is developing for their cars and others into the future.

I picked up my Lyriq 2024 AWD Lux3 on 1/8/2024. The dealer indicated that all of the software had been updated. The attached photos are what I am seeing for updates and the android level. Maybe I am behind but I can't tell based on what I have seen posted on this forum. Perhaps this information will help others.

I've had the PIT6065C (and infotainment) update in my 2024 Lux 1 for a month now. Overall I'd give the improvement a B+. The number of alerts has dropped dramatically, and most importantly, I haven't had the "reducing features" warning indicating a 12 volt problem. I've had three notifications that were false. Two of the them were related to "service driver assist" and "parking assist unavailable." They went away quickly on their own. The third was a one-off where the car threw warnings related to AWD and one pedal driving being unavailable. That strange issue came after I remote started it with the fob. In that case, turning off and restarting the vehicle cleared the issues. Overall, I'm appreciating the new stability and am glad to have the garage remote available when I back out or come home. Fingers crossed for more OTAs to fix the small, weird stuff like the notification volume menu!

Went to go turn the car on this morning and drive off (as I usually do around 7:00am) and the backup camera screen flashed a giant black screen and a 'no camera' sign- has anyone else had this happen?

The issue stuck with me along for the whole drive. The parking sensors seem to work, just the cameras are not working. I'm going to see if the issue sticks later today when I go to drive home, but curious if anyone else has encountered this.

Yes, or sort of...

Yes, I have had this happen a few times in only the last month or two. Seems to resolve itself, but unsure what the problem is. Only seemed to affect the back up cam as the rear view camera mirror worked fine. Probably needs to be addressed given back up camera requirements, I'll probably take it in when the March update is available too.

Added a shot of what it looks like:

I went ahead and made an appt to take my car in; earliest date I could get a loaner car was April 1 so I figure if the issue resolves itself, I'll just cancel the appointment, and maybe by then there will be other software updates as well.

Looks like I am getting the March software update on my 23 Lyriq right now. They are hung up on another stubborn module but hopefully it resolves most of the big bugs. I was told after this update, we should be getting OTA updates again. I will share as much information as I can about improvements as soon as I get my car back.
