Another update was released GM N23-239781, saw that on FB, seems to conflict with the version numbering in the tracker.

Hmm interesting, I got the phone app notification for improved maps in the app (didn't see an actual app update though) but I don't see a notification on the phone for a vehicle OTA with that number.
That number also seems to be a "lower" version than the most recent one that a good number of us saw - N23-240103.
Not sure what the details of this particular OTA are, if you find out feel free to insert it into the tracker.

 

This sounds like the update that was installed at dealerships only for a while.

Wonder if they have one of the early VINs, I think we've only seen some of these update versions on the really early DE deliveries. At least on this forum, 238660 and 239182 were on a couple of the really early deliveries and I don't think anyone here had reported 239296 before.

These notices sound like they are written by an AIbot, although I suppose they are just writing them from a template. Drop the flowery stuff and just give us the facts in more detail!

 

They are trying to give enough information to be informative on the big changes while also not being intimidating to the average owner who may not wish to install updates if it's to confusing or to MUCH information.

 

I was just talking to an FSE about this last week. Recommended they give us a link to view more info for us geeks like they do with iOS updates. Hoping he takes my recommendation back to the team.

 

Around the last week or so when I check for updates the screen immediately says the car is up to date (no update since May). It used to have a circle that would say checking for updates or something similar. Has anyone else seen this behavior before?

 

How long should 208 take to update? Mine has been installing for 5 hours.

 

Is your vehicle plugged in? Is the Lyriq on or off? Are you installing par1, 2, or 3?

 

Yes it's plugged in to a 120, it is off, and I'm assuming it's installing part 1. But it didn't indicate a part one two or three.

 

The car is still responsive. I can open all the doors... And the dashboard comes on when I open the door.

Turned on car and a notification flashed that stated that the update was unsuccessful. The secret sauce was to ensure that the vehicle was connected to my Wi-Fi(my wifi connection wasn't persistent for some reason), and instead of using the on demand update, use the scheduler(I scheduled it 15min out). Install was less than 5min.

What in the world? I got part 1 of the July update Tuesday, today I got a notification that I had another update. I assumed it was part 2. But this looks like one of the older updates? I took delivery of the car on May 8th and Tuesday was the first update I have received. Car was built about a week before it was delivered and I was under the understanding all available updates had been loaded at the factory. Interesting...🤔

 

Update: the 781 update completed successfully. Although it doesn't show in the history of installed updates on the vehicle. Although it does show in the history of installed updates now in the app. Checking for updates says vehicle is up to date. What the what. 🤷‍♂️

 

Stage 1 stayed that way for me until I restarted the car a couple of times.

 

Well... The secret sauce went bad. Tried all the same steps that secured the first update, however, this time the second update you had to invoke from the console. I tried on demand, and I tried scheduling, I made sure that the Wi-Fi connection was good, cars plugged in. Nada... Interesting.... That the charge indicator light on the dash changes from flashing green to flashing blue when the update is scheduled. And it stays in that paused state until the update time.
