I saw that but it doesn’t just magically open.
maybe I don’t even need in it. I checked the voltage on the 12 volt battery and it’s down to 3.4 bolts.I think that’s my problem.

there has been a spat of bad 12V AGM batteries, or batteries that get drained quickly because of vampire drain.

 

Thank you. Just jumped it and it started. Gonna let it charge up and see if it’ll hold.

 

Bad battery batch from manufacture or is the issue caused from a parasitic drain?

 

There’s a bulletin released last week about the 12v battery drain issue. Serial data gateway controller update failure that causes the module to wake often and drain the 12v.

If only this came out before my trip. Going through this now. Might you be able to share the service note or reference number?

This is the note mentioned (just released). Seems the likely issue, but will wait to hear what dealer says...

It's plastic clips, pull from the top first and it will fall towards you.

 

Yes quoted that earlier but he said it didn’t work that way, at least that’s what I think he meant. Hoping someone with a car can check and let us know.
