Called Lund Performance this a.m. and asked about the progress of their supercharger project. They are indicating 4-5 weeks out, however, I think this is the Mod I "need" for my V. I plan to purchase a kit and will likely drive there and have it installed by their crew. I'll keep you all posted here.

Curious who else intends to Supercharge their V, and what systems/manufacturers they would prefer should they develop a product for our cars. In my opinion, the product must fit under the hood, and be totally stealth in my Badillac.:lildevil:
My question is...Will the transmission and rear end be able to handle the additional power?

Yes.

The T56 can handle it and the rear end as well (though sway bars are something I'm thinking may be necessary as you get higher into the HP numbers to prevent frame twist...maybe other stuff as well).

I think the limit for the stock LS6 engine before you have to rebuild the bottom end would be 8-9lbs of boost. Depending on what else you have on the car that could be 5-600 at the wheels. My shop guy said get it there, drive it for a year, then if you still want to keep the car rebuild bottom end and start shooting for the low 10s. :D

There is about 2+ inches to be had by cutting out the hood liner. I did it.That coupled with the tower strut will give probably 4+ more inches under the hood . Its close. Im going with the magnussen peice when its available. It has an integral intercooler. Its just a well thought out package. I agree with the intercooler issue. Forget it without it. Blowers make too much heat. I have a friend with a lt-1, no intercooler. On a hard run he gets to 300F intake temp. Way too hot. My old turbo set up with intercooler and 8lbs of boost never got over 170. Cool charge/more power.!:)

I will post the ATI specs once it's laid out. After seeing how the Mag is limited I would never go with one in case I do get the crazy urge to break 700+ hp with a new bottom end in 6-8 months. Plus, no need for new hood or cutting any liners, etc. If you think the mag will fit it is definitely a nice kit, with more torque at 2500rpm. The Mag will walk an ATI off the line, but at around 4k the ATI will catch up and pass it. Both kits are ridiculous hp though, out of the box.

The T56 is known to be rather stout, but how much do you really know about the differential on the V? What model is it? Also, sway bars are part of the suspension, providing resistance to roll.... how exactly will a sway bar prevent frame flex? Perhaps you are thinking of something akin to a strut bar for the rear?

We have recently fitted our CTS-V with an ATI Custom Built Procharger. We are waiting on plumbing that we had custom ordered for this but the whole project is scheduled for completion within the next week or no later than April 30. We are expecting to see around 450RWHP to 470RHWP depending on boost. We will keep everyone updated but should be one of the first out with the ATI kit on a CTS-V.

Amber...are you using the 'Vette kit or the F-body kit as a base? Also, did you end up moving the radiator forward or does the cooler/kit fit in the normal engine bay with no relocation of parts. Out of curiosity. Also, will you folks be willing to share/collaborate on the ducting with other shops, since it's illogical for me to make the trip that far south, but I am perfectly willing to put my shop in touch with you to work a deal for parts, etc.

On the T56, all I can say is that the guy at East Coast Supercharging who has a 9.7sec Z06 'Vette uses a stock T56 tranny. And he confirmed that the stock trans is all you really need up to that range. Beyond the 9s, who knows.
