On our 09 models with sunroof it was standard practice to lubricate the rubber seals on the sunroof to prevent drying out and leaking. They were rubber. My new 14 seems like the seals, while soft, may be a different compound than rubber. Is it still a good policy to spread a thin coat of dialectic grease on the seals around perimeter of sunroof?

I used to lube/clean the sunroof on my '11 frequently just to keep it quiet. Haven't touched the one on this car and still silent at 12,000 miles, so it must be different.
