Hey guys, we picked up a few LSA tubs recently and are outfitting a '10 2/SS with a 6.2 to LSA spec (Texas Speed cam) and considering using the other on a 6.0 swap in a 81 T/A. The T/A is the issue as it physically doesn't have the room for the heat exchanger so we're considering trying to intercool it with meth/water alone. We're also looking to take the boost down from 9 to around 7 to control heat as well as save the driveline.

I'm wondering if anyone has any data regarding the IAT temps pre/post meth injection. That's obviously only 1 part of it, but it would give me a better idea of how effective it would be. We would still need to get an idea of how hot it would run without the intercooler, but I'm not sure how to determine that quite yet.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I know this was posted 2 months ago but I'll just leave this hear for the sake of future readers. You can add add an Active Interchiller to your car and delete the front HX. On my V i'm adding a 5 gallon trunk tank with an EMP pump and AI chiller. No need for a HX as the chiller will use your car's A/C to cool the liquid to sub 50 degree temperatures. It would also allow you to increase your boost as the IAT2's will be even lower than on a traditional air cooled HX.
