LS9...into an '09V?

Perhaps this has already been asked, and, if so, apologies, BUT...

Will an LS9 drop easily into an '09V, without any significant issues?

:hmm:

Yes it will work very simple. Just pan swaps, and some minor rerouting of some things. Well and 20k...

Jesse, as usual, you rock.

Thanks for the reply.
20 large and you too can have an LS9 in there. for that kind of money you can toss an LS7 in there, do a great set of mods and get better HP/TQ....
Theres no replacement for displacement

Would the Automatic Transmission in the 2009 V2 hold up under the HP/Torque generated by the LS9 engine?

Well, it wouldn't be ~$21k if you sold the LSA to help offset that...

And I remain skeptical that a modded, yet NA, LS7 is going to have an easy time keeping up with even a slightly modded LS9; forced induction sometimes isn't fair. You wouldn't have to do much at all and you can get significant power increases out of an LS9, it's just crazy.

Unless, of course, you throw a blower on top of the LS7, but now the dynamics are significantly changing and the cost difference between and LS9 and an LS7 + blower becomes immaterial.

If I was looking at approx. the same power, yeah, no replacement for displacement. But forced induction sure as hell can imitate more displacement, oftentimes exceed it significantly.
why not just forge your LSA and go nuts?

Was simply considering other options, that's all.

I 100% agree with that idea and, ultimately, probably will be the route I will go.
