Just bought a 05 Cts-V with 100k today and when i shut it off it makes a clunking noise. Could it be bad motor mounts? And if i hit a bump it feels like the engines headers may hit. Or sounds like a bad pully

It's almost certainly the engine mounts. There are a couple of options out there for aftermarket mounts that are way more durable than the stock, fluid-filled, failure-prone mounts. I have Creative Steel mounts on mine.

Sounds like mine did when the mounts failed. I have UMI mounts and have no complaints.

The new style CS mounts look nice also.

Do inspect the trans mount also.

Do you know if it's on the original clutch?
